Running together as a family is something that has brought all of us much closer together. My sister, Emily, who lives near Washington, D.C. was home for Thanksgiving so we all agreed we needed to run a race together. I had been hearing a lot about the Lansing Turkeyman Trot and was dying to run it! After a few weeks of strong suggestions, everyone agreed that we would all run the Lansing Turkeyman Trot.

The race route was a nice 3.1 mile run around the Capitol Building.

Knowing how much I struggled with being in shape as a child, I knew the instant I saw this race I had to participate even though it was a week after the Potterville race.
