In March of 2010 I was surfing around online when I came across a friends’ bucket list. Reading through their list quickly inspired me to create my own bucket list. If you haven’t heard about a bucket list, it is a list of all the goals you want to achieve, dreams you want to fulfill and life-experiences you want to experience all before you die. I believe if you do not have personal goals you are trying to achieve, chances are you spend most of your time caught up in day-to-day activities to much to see life whizzing right by you!
The object of creating my bucket list was not to instill some kind race against time or to create a goal towards death for myself! The goal of my bucket list is to maximize every moment of my life, helping me live life to the fullest! My bucket list is a reminder of all the things I want to accomplish in my time here on Earth, so that instead of pandering my time with pointless activities, I am doing things that matter!
My full bucket list is long; however, there are a few items on the list which are running based. One of the biggest goals I have on my bucket list is to “Run a race (of any distance) in all 50 states”. So, below is my “Race & State Tracker”:
